This year’s Glastonbury festival hasn’t even kicked off yet, but next year’s headliners have reportedly already been signed up… and it’s good news for the Foo Fighters.
The band had initially been confirmed to be headlining Glasto this weekend, but were forced to pull out just a week before taking to the stage at Worthy Farm, when lead singer Dave Grohl suffered a devastating injury on stage, forcing them to pull out in the eleventh hour.

However, it’s now been claimed that festival organiser Michael Eavis has offered them a lifeline, and already given them the honour of headlining next year.
Foo Fighters
A source tells The Sun: “Dave was beyond gutted about pulling out of Glastonbury, especially at such short notice.
“But Michael was quick to book him for next year as he’s desperate for the Foos to headline. He knows they’ll go down a storm at Glasto. Dave agreed within seconds.”
After breaking his leg during a gig in Sweden, Dave remained on stage and carried on performing, but later issued an emotional statement on the band’s website, announcing that, due to his injury, they’d have to pull out of their forthcoming live shows, including their appearance at Glastonbury.
Florence and the Machine, who had previously been scheduled to perform before Foo Fighters, were later confirmed as replacement headliners.
Also receiving top billing this year are The Who and Kanye West, who proved to be a controversial choice when a petition to have him removed from the line-up and replaced with a “rock band” managed to accrue over 15,000 signatures.
