Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter have stepped out publicly, for the first time since welcoming their first child together.
Sophie gave birth to a baby boy back in May, and on Thursday evening, they enjoyed a date night at the Serpentine Summer Ball.

The couple looked as loved-up as ever, and happily posed for a few snaps before mingling with other A-listers, including supermodel Suki Waterhouse, Kate Hudson and Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner.
Benedict and Sophie’s rep confirmed the birth of their son on 13 May, stating: “Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son.
"We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during these next few precious weeks."

It’s been quite the year for Benedict, who has been busy, both professionally and personally.
As well as tying the knot on Valentine’s Day, Benedict has filmed a number of new projects, including the BBC2 historical series ‘The Hollow Crown’, and the upcoming ‘Sherlock’ Christmas special.
He’s currently getting ready for a stint on stage, and in August, will begin playing Hamlet at the Barbican.
