Five teenagers from Jersey have been arrested on suspicion of murdering 16-year-old schoolboy Morgan Huelin.
In Jersey's first murder case for 10 years, Morgan was found unconscious on a road in the parish of Trinity by a dog walker on Sunday Morning. He was later pronounced dead at hospital.
Morgan was a pupil at the fee-paying school Victoria College, worked part-time in his local chemist's shop and hoped to study medicine at university.
Police initially arrested three male suspects - one aged 15 and the other 16, while two more 16 year-old boys were arrested later. The five boys have now been released on police bail until 10 August.
Detective Chief Superintendent Stewart Gull said: "The loss of a young person in any circumstance is very sad. He was found by a lady who was out walking her dog. She is okay, under the circumstances, she is a key and significant witness and we are in the process of obtaining a witness statement."
The woman who found Morgan on the Sunday morning told The Telegraph he was "foaming at the mouth". Wishing to remain anonymous, she said: "He looked very ill. He was very pale...I called an ambulance and they talked me thought what to do to check his breathing.

Alun Watkins, headmaster at Victoria college, said all at the school were "incredibly stunned that such a genuinely honest and good-natured young man” had been taken from them in such tragic circumstances.
He added: “Morgan was highly respected by both staff and his peers at the college, not least because of his academic ability, charismatic personality and strong sense of independence. The college will do all it can to offer support to those pupils, staff and families who have been affected by these heartbreaking events.”
A postmortem investigation is scheduled for today. The police investigation into Morgan's death continues.
