The Princess Charlotte Effect Is Born: Surge In Vintage Pram Sales Following Royal Christening

Vintage Prams Sales Soar Thanks To The Princess Charlotte Effect

We've heard about the Duchess of Cambridge effect and we've heard about the Prince George effect.

But now, Princess Charlotte is proving to be every bit as much of a trendsetter as her mum and brother, as photos from her christening appear to have prompted many parents to buy vintage prams.

A vintage pram company called Prams with Pizazz in Ayr, has seen sales soar following the Princess being pictured in a similar style.

"Everyone wants a pram like Princess Charlotte's and the waiting list for delivery is more than four months now."

Wow .... we have been inundated with messages, emails and calls today. Please bear with us we are working our way...

During her christening Princess Charlotte was pushed in a silver wheeled Millson Prince which Queen Elizabeth used for two of her own children in the early 1960s.

Frew, who is a dad-of-five, set up his business with his wife, Carolyn, 42 three years ago with the aim to rebuild old prams, some that haven't been used for decades.

Currently on their website they have listed a full-size "Silver Cross Carlton Model" pram with matching bag that is £550, as well as a silver cross pram for £800 with white fur round the edges.

Good morning everyone. Sharing this pretty in pink picture we were sent in by mum. What a nice way to start the week with a smile at this lovely photo
