If you think that Aussie is just an accent, you're mistaken. It's an entire new vocabulary, and it appears that the best way of nailing it is to abbreviate absolutely everything.
The translation formula we've come up with is simple: take off at least one syllable and add a vowel.
For instance, 'avocado' would become 'avo', 'laptop' would become 'lappy' and 'chocolate' would obviously become 'choccy'. Simples.
