Plans for a multi-faith burial ground besides a rural village in Lancashire have prompted a cruel over-reaction from members of the Britain First Facebook community.
The Langho Natural Burial Ground would serve the local Muslim population (as well as people of other faiths) and hold up to 10,000 graves, the Clitheroe Advertiser reported.
However, members of the Facebook page have used the proposals to stir up racial tensions.
With more than 814,000 ‘likes’, its members’ posts have a huge reach across the social network, with racist comments commonplace.
