A professional video gaming league is beginning to randomly drug test its competitors.
The Electronic Sports League (ESL), renowned as one of the largest of its kind, will screen for enhancers such as Adderall.
Performance boosting drugs are currently disallowed from the league, but the e-sports company are dedicated to their total eradication from the game.

Adderall is particularly common in the video game league as it increases alertness, attention span and focus, providing the user with an advantage in the competition.
The drug is usually prescribed to treat people with attention deficient disorders and narcolepsy.
The ESL released a statement on their website and said: "In order to maintain the fair play spirit of our sport, ESL has partnered with NADA (National Anti Doping Agency, located in Bonn, Germany) to help research and determine an anti-PEDs policy that is fair, feasible and respects the privacy of the players, whilst simultaneously providing conclusive testing results.
"Additionally, ESL will meet with WADA (World Anti Doping Agency, with headquarters located in Montreal, Canada) to actively involve them in the making, enforcing and further internationalising of this policy to regions like the US, Asia and Australia."
The ESL currently organises events across the world from Cologne to New York and winning the league can see players win up to 15,000 EUR (£10,700).

The ESL told the Huffington Post UK: "We will begin the randomized PEDs skin tests at the ESL One Cologne event, which takes place on August 22-23 in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany."
