Producers have listed the show’s studios in Melbourne on Airbnb, as part of a new competition that will see guests win an overnight stay.

Dr Karl will be on hand to welcome guests

The winner and a friend will stay at the pleasure of Doctor Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) and handyman Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan), walking down the famous street and reliving the drama at Harold’s Store, The Waterhole and Lassiter’s Lake.

They will then join Alan and Chris for dinner at the Willis family house, where they'll hear some juicy behind-the-scenes gossip, before bedding down on one of the studio sets.

Alan, who recently celebrated 21 years of playing Erinsborough’s resident medic, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for guests to be hosted on the set of Ramsay Street for the first time ever.

“A sleepover on the set is a truly unique experience, where guests will see what goes on behind-the- scenes, meet their favourite stars and see where all the drama unfolds."

Viewers could stay in the Kennedy house

A spokesperson for Airbnb added: "This Neighbours listing provides an unforgettable travel experience for Aussie, UK and Kiwi fans, where they get to make Ramsay Street their home for the night."

Winners will be flown to Melbourne for five days from any Australian, New Zealand, or UK major city, spending the night of Monday 7 September on the ‘Neighbours’ set.

To be in with a chance of winning, fans must tell the Airbnb host why they would like to spend a night on the set of Neighbours in 25 words or less. Enter here.

The soap recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, with many familiar faces from the show’s history returning to mark the milestone, including stars Ian Smith (Harold Bishop), Anne Charleston (Madge Bishop) and Delta Goodrem (Nina Tucker).

Over the years, ‘Neighbours’ has launched the international careers of Natalie Imbruglia, Margot Robbie, Jason Donovan and, of course, a certain Kylie Minogue.

‘Neighbours’ airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.
