Daredevil Surfs On A Motorbike In Hawaii In Stunning 4K Video

This Man Just Redefined Cool By Surfing On A Motorbike

Boats go on water, motorbikes go on land. It's a simple enough premise and one that usually remains uncontested unless of course you're a mad Aussie called Robbie Maddison.

The daredevil decided that for him, normal rules don't apply. A fair assessment when you take into account that the extreme sports nut has backflipped Tower Bridge in London and flown across the Corinth Canal in Greece.

Taking his trusty motorbike and outfitting it with the smallest of fins Maddison hit the coast of Tahiti and started surfing.

That's right, surfing. On a motorbike.

Certainly on par with 'Volcano Boarding' in terms of sheer inventiveness and absolutely as dangerous as 'motorcycle surfing' on land.

To keep the bike stable Maddison had to keep the speed up which also meant increasing the risk of horrible injury should he hit a wave at just the wrong angle.

Speaking to Surfer Mag the daredevil said: "At the end of the day, the images and footage say something pretty awesome, but the ferocity and how gnarly that thing was can’t really be put into words."

"I fantasized putting skis on a bike and riding on water. It was a stupid vision at the time, but I kept toying with it, playing with designs and concepts, and eventually it became a reality."

Rather you than us Robbie.
