‘EastEnders’ fans have been given a sneak peek at an upcoming plot, thanks to these new behind-the-scenes pics, which appear to show Kathy Beale being arrested.
The legendary character was presumed dead after a car accident in South Africa way back in 2006, but viewers have since learnt that Phil’s ex and her husband Gavin Sullivan have been living under fake identities.

However, it seems Kathy’s finally blown her cover by returning to Walford, and actress Gillian Taylforth was seen filming the arrest scenes on location in Notting Hill in west London.

In Monday’s ‘EastEnders’ (24 August), it was revealed that Phil Mitchell has known that Kathy’s alive for three years, and we can’t see that information going down well when her sons Ian Beale and Ben Mitchell find out.
Kathy’s return has been one of the most hotly-anticipated TV moments of the summer, following her fleeting Live Week comeback.
Elsewhere in the Square, there’s been plenty of drama ahead of Max Branning’s murder trial, and it was recently revealed that Jacqueline Jossa will be making a brief return as Lauren Branning when the car salesman goes to court.
