A man suspected of shooting a Virginia news crew dead during a live broadcast has uploaded camera phone footage of the attack to his Twitter account.

The film shows the full attack, including the shooting, and is severely graphic in nature.

He uploaded the footage to the social network just after 4.15pm BST.

Initial reports that the gunman had killed himself, confirmed by the Augusta sheriff's office, now appear to have been premature.
