Most people would err on the side of caution after being slapped with a drink-driving ban, but not Texan student Tara Monroe - who now cruises around campus in a Barbie jeep.
"That's Tara," her father told local news station KHOU. "Always got a little drama going on."
When the 20-year-old's licence was suspended after being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), her father confiscated her actual Jeep and gave her a bike to get around Texas State University campus on.
Not happy on two wheels, Monroe went onto Craigslist and purchased a bright pink Barbie Jeep off a little girl called Charlene for $60 instead.
"Riding a bike around campus sucks," Monroe told MySanAntonio.com
"When we drove up to buy it Charlene asked where the little one was to test drive it to which I replied, āI am the little one,".
Now she's a minor celeb on campus, as she pootles around at 5mph in her 12-volt battery ride.
"Most people donāt find the things me and my friends do very funny, just immature, so I didnāt expect to get this big of a reaction.
"This is the best way I could have gotten my 15 minutes of fame."
