It turns out there’s someone out there willing to pay an eye-watering amount of money to get their hands on Abz Love’s Brit Award.
The artist formerly known as Abs from 5ive made headlines on Tuesday, when a listing went on up on eBay offering users the chance to pay for his Brit Award.

Abz said he was going to use the money to “fund a delivery of topsoil and maybe some garden tools”, having relocated to a farm in recent times.
Immediately, bids began to fly in left, right and centre - but what we don’t think anyone was expecting was that someone would bid £1million for the honour of calling the award statue their very own.
The (actually rather charming) eBay listing reads: “You are viewing one real deal Brit award for newcomer best pop act 2000 awarded to Abs ex Five rapper....”

Proving he has the gift of the sales patter, Abz continued: “No more awkward silences when people come over to your house!! This is a real conversation piece even if you didn't win it! Guaranteed 100% real.
“Good condition, light scratching (to be expected for age), one previous owner from new.
“Has been held by Jason Statham although I can not prove this.”
At the time of writing, bidding stands at just over a million quid - and with four days to go until bidding closes, we predict that’s only going to go up and up (we just hope that high bid isn’t someone playing a mean trick).

Abz and his 5ive bandmates beat stiff competition from Geri Halliwell, Martine McCutcheon and S Club 7 to be named Best British Pop Act at the Brits, back in 2000, also opening the show with a performance of ‘We Will Rock You’, alongside rock legends, Queen.
In recent years, Abz has found a new home on reality telly, appearing on ‘The Big Reunion’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, before landing his own BBC Two show, ‘Abz On The Farm’.
