Fire crews attended a blaze at Shoreditch’s Boxpark shopping centre on Wednesday morning.
Images of smoke billowing above the trendy shipping container boxes which make up the complex in east London were shared on social media.
A spokesman for London Fire Brigade said multiple emergency calls have been made and that part of a restaurant's kitchen had caught fire.
The blaze was contained by midmorning and the centre was due to open for business with no injuries reported.
