‘Mary Poppins’, of course, is far from the first Disney classic to be given a shake-up in recent times.

In just the past few years, re-imagined versions of ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Alice In Wonderland’ have all hit cinemas.

Tim Burton is said to be directing a new version of ‘Dumbo’, while ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘Mulan’ and ‘Pinocchio’ are all said to be in the pipeline.
