Illusionist Spencer Horsman Hospitalised After Stunt Goes Wrong In Baltimore

Illusionist Nearly Killed In Underwater Chamber Stunt For The SECOND Time

An illusionist has been hospitalised after attempting to escape from a locked underwater chamber in Baltimore.

Spencer Horsman lost consciousness during the trick, leaving him unable to unlock the restraints which held him submerged in the tank.

Harrowing video footage shows the stuntman frantically trying to escape from the water-filled box.

The stuntman fell unconscious live on camera

The illusionist was underwater for two and a half minutes and had unlocked 15 of the 16 locks before his body conceded to the pressure.

This is not the first time that Horsman has attempted the trick and previously he's almost died performing the stunt.

Some have claimed that the accident was a publicity stunt to sell tickets to Horsman's show, with upcoming dates scheduled for the weekend.

Despite claims, Marcus Washington, a reporter at the scene, explained how emergency responders in New Brunsick treated the situation as a real life rescue.

“It is a risky stunt. As Spencer was addressing the crowd, he was saying this is real.

"It looked like he was just not able to get a good grab on that lock, which I’m guessing is him starting to lose consciousness."

The show will go on as expected from Friday until Sunday although there is currently no conformation on if Horsman will be a part of it...
