Dying Dog's Journey To Health Shown In Incredible Yet Heartbreaking Transformation Video

Dying Dog's Amazing Transformation Shows The Power Of TLC

A video showing a dying dog's amazing journey back to health has reached more than a million people.

And it's sure to tug on your heart strings.

At the beginning of the heart-wrenching clip, staff from Animal Aid Unlimited India find the dog lying on the side of the road.

It is evident that he has mange - a skin disease caused by parasitic mites which causes hair loss and the formation of scabs and lesions - and is generally in a bad state.

"We couldn't risk him running away and going another day without treatment so we decided to catch him using a net," the video reads.

The clip then cuts to his first day in the shelter. The dog is too exhausted to move and staff at the shelter are seen tapping him, but he doesn't even flinch.

When they throw him a biscuit, it takes him a good few seconds to realise what it is - but, ever so slowly, he sits up and eats it.

Staff at the shelter hook him up to a drip to treat him for dehydration. They then begin the slow and steady process of rehabilitating the neglected dog.

After ten days in the shelter, his skin has completely healed.

Now, after two months of intensive treatment, his transformation is complete - and it's absolutely astounding.
