‘EastEnders': Max Branning Trial Takes An Unexpected Twist After Guilty Verdict

'EastEnders' Team Deliver Shock Trial Twist

‘EastEnders’ bosses served up another surprise on Monday night (28 September), when Max Branning was found guilty of murdering Lucy Beale.

Despite Phil Mitchell and Jane Beale’s best efforts, Jake Wood’s character was wrongly convicted for murder, but Max then decided to take matters into his own hands and fled the court.

To be honest, you’d think murder trials would have better security…

Max managed to dodge DS Bryant and make it out of the building, but will his bid for freedom go to plan?

We’re no legal experts, but surely an appeal might have been a better decision?

While bosses are keeping schtum on what awaits Max, soap fans do know that actor Jake is leaving the soap in the coming weeks, and taking a 12 month break.

According to reports, he won’t be off our screens for long though, as following his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ success, Jake is reportedly planning to head Down Under, for a stint in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ jungle.

Watch ‘EastEnders’ tonight 9Tuesday 29 September) to see what happens next.
