Contrary to popular belief, they say grabbing a dustpan and brush to deal with a glass-related accident is a terrible idea.
This is because small shards of the glass can get stuck in the bristles, then fall out at a later date when you're least expecting it.
Instead, the pair recommend you don some heavy duty gloves to pick up the biggest pieces of glass, then use a vacuum cleaner to suck up any smaller pieces.
Finally, they say it's essential that you wipe down the surrounding areas, as well as the vacuum cleaner itself, to pick up any stray pieces.
