How To Pick Up Broken Glass: Ditch The Broom And Try This Instead

This Is The Right Way To Pick Up Broken Glass

If you don't clean up glass correctly you could be left with sharp, dangerous shards around your home.

And no one wants that.

In the above video, the guys from You're Doing it Wrong explain how to clean up glass the right way.

Contrary to popular belief, they say grabbing a dustpan and brush to deal with a glass-related accident is a terrible idea.

This is because small shards of the glass can get stuck in the bristles, then fall out at a later date when you're least expecting it.

Instead, the pair recommend you don some heavy duty gloves to pick up the biggest pieces of glass, then use a vacuum cleaner to suck up any smaller pieces.

Finally, they say it's essential that you wipe down the surrounding areas, as well as the vacuum cleaner itself, to pick up any stray pieces.
