'EastEnders': Ross Kemp's Return As Grant Mitchell 'Confirmed' By Aunt Babe Actress Annette Badland?

Did Aunt Babe Just 'Confirm' Grant Mitchell's 'EastEnders' Return?

EastEnders’ actress Annette Badland has fuelled speculation that Ross Kemp could be about to make a return to the soap.

MORE 'EASTENDERS':

The star, who plays villainous Aunt Babe, “practically confirmed” that Grant Mitchell would be making his way back to Walford, during an appearance on ‘Good Morning Britain’ on Wednesday (7 October).

Ross has been at the centre of whispers about whether he's reprising the role as Walford's resident hardman in recent months, and when pressed about the rumours by Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway, Annette said: "Well, perhaps Aunt Babe is out there looking for him now.

"You never know. But who am I to say? I never tell lies!"

Thrilled by the news, Susanna said: "Well that practically is a confirmation."

"I'm definitely going to bank that as fact!" Kate agreed.

Ross himself toyed with fans about the possibility of a comeback on Twitter earlier this week.

After seeing a tweet posted by one user of the social networking site begging for Grant’s return, he replied: “Never say never.”

It’s no secret that soap boss Dominic Treadwell Collins wants Grant back on the Square, following the return of Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) earlier this year.

“To get all four on screen at the same time is a dream. As an ‘EastEnders’ fan, you want to watch that. I want to watch that.”
