Breast Cancer Survivor's First Hair Cut Since Treatment Will Make You Cry Happy Tears

For a cancer survivor, a new hair cut is a big deal. It can represent hope and the start of a new beginning.

In the short film above, a woman named Tracy shares her experience.

The video opens showing Tracy with a full head of hair shortly after she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She says she is concerned the disease is going to "take away [her] beauty".

In heartbreaking scenes, she then shows clumps of her hair falling out due to chemotherapy, saying "life is unfair".

“It’s all beyond my control, and you will never hear me say: ‘I am still beautiful'," she says, while looking into the camera with tears in her eyes.

But then, the music and mood of the film changes as Tracey begins to repeat her words in reverse.

“I am still beautiful, and you will never hear me say: ‘It’s all beyond my control'," she says.

"Everyday is filled with hope, even if life is unfair.

"Don't try to convince me that this disease is going to take away my beauty."

The clip ends with Tracy smiling as she looks at herself in the mirror after having a hair cut.

She made the video with beauty brand Ulta to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

It's certainly a tear-jerker, but for all the right reasons.
