Police Search For Woman After She Left Hospital Without Newborn Baby

A vulnerable woman who left a hospital without her newborn baby is the subject of a police search.

Anna Chudy, 35, left Northwick Park Hospital in Harrow, north-west London, with a man on Friday morning, having given birth to a baby son by caesarean section just before 4am on Thursday.

The Metropolitan Police described her as vulnerable but did elaborate. Detectives said they only wanted to ensure she was safe and reunite her with her child rather than pursue any criminal action.
