The Stone Roses Tour 2016: Band Announce Three Reunion Shows At Manchester's Etihad Stadium At T In The Park Festival

The Stone Roses Have Just Made Their Fans VERY Happy

The Stone Roses have confirmed they will be reforming next year for a series of reunion gigs.

The guitar band will play three major shows next summer, marking the first time they will have been together on stage in three years.

Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni will regroup in their hometown of Manchester on 17 and 18 June at the Etihad Stadium, and at T in the Park in Scotland on 8 July.

Tickets for all three shows will go on sale on Friday (6 November) at 9.30am.

Speculation has now turned to whether Stone Roses could headline Glastonbury 2016, with bookmakers already having slashed odds on it.

Colm Rock of Betfair said: "The odds of the Stone Roses to headline the Saturday at Glastonbury have plummeted from 10/1 to 7/2 second favourites."

Stone Roses previously reunited for a world tour in 2012, following two huge Heaton Park shows. However, they haven’t released any new material since 1994’s ‘The Second Coming’.

Their tour was documented by ‘This Is England’ creator Shane Meadows, and his film ‘Made Of Stone’ received largely positive reviews following its 2013 release.
