British Vogue Best Dressed List 2015 Only Features Four Women Of Colour

Today British Vogue released their annual best dressed list.

The problem? There are only four women of colour listed out of a total 69 entries.

Predictably, Kate Moss, Alexa Chung and the Duchess of Cambridge topped the magazine's 'Who's got style now' feature, but a quick flick through of the six pages reveals a startling lack of diversity.

While Chung is of Chinese descent, the only women of colour included were supermodel Joan Smalls, singer-songwriter FKA Twigs, artist Phoebe Collings-James, and Sacai creative director Chitose Abe.

It's yet another blow for diversity - in September, 79.4% of the models walking the runway at the spring/summer 2016 Fashion Weeks were white.

Not only are there so many more women of colour who deserve places on the list, this could have been an opportunity for Vogue to address fashion's race problem in a positive way.

Vogue's trend-spotting may be up to date, but it's a shame their attitude to race is anything but.
