The gap between men's and women's earning is 14.2%, figures released to coincide with Equal Pay Day show.

That revelation has been slammed as "shocking" by the TUC's Frances O'Grady, and criticised by equal pay protesters for showing up a slowing in the Government's commitment to end gender pay discrepancies "in a generation".
