Student Dies After Falling From 10th Storey Of Luxury Shoreditch Halls

A young woman has died after plunging from a 10th storey of a luxury block of student accommodation halls in Shoreditch, east London.

The woman, in her early 20s, was left fighting for her life last Thursday after falling from the top of the halls in Paul Street and landing on a second-floor roof.

Police confirmed late on Tuesday she died at Royal London Hospital on Friday, despite medics battling for an hour to save her life.

Kat Skeldon, who works nearby, told the Evening Standard: “My colleague said he saw what looked like a person fall from the building and land on a roof of the building next door.

“Office workers from the building rushed out and within about 10 minutes the emergency services arrived.

“They worked on her up there for about an hour.”

The Met Police said it would not be investigating the woman's death because it did not deem it suspicious.
