'Strictly Come Dancing' Host Sir Bruce Forsyth Recovering At Home After Keyhole Surgery

Sir Bruce Recovering At Home Following Keyhole Surgery

Sir Bruce Forsyth is recovering at home, after undergoing successful keyhole surgery last week.

The TV legend was suffering from an abdominal aortic aneurysm, with doctors performing the surgery last Thursday.

His manager has now assured fans that he’s doing well after the procedure, saying: “It is anticipated, given the minimally invasive nature of this operation, he will make a speedy recovery.”

The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host’s medical condition was discovered after he underwent medical tests, following a fall at his home last month.

However, his manager has been quick to insist that the aneurysm “is not connected in any way with the fall itself”, pointing out that since then, Brucie has even fronted a special episode of ‘Strictly’ for Children In Need.

The special episode saw the cast of ‘Call The Midwife’ glamming up and hitting the dance floor, following in the footsteps of their co-star, Helen George, who is currently appearing on the main show.

A BBC representative has also claimed that the recent surgery won’t affect the veteran presenter’s planned appearance on the annual ‘Strictly’ festive show, adding: “We anticipate that Bruce will still very much be a part of the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Christmas Special.”

Brucie previously co-hosted the first 11 series of ‘Strictly’, alongside Tess Daly, until Claudia Winkleman took over the job last year, having previously fronted the spin-off series, ‘It Takes Two’.
