Toddler Left Abandoned After Grandmothers Death Survives Days Without Food Or Water

Toddler Survives A Week Without Food Or Water After Grandmother Dies

A toddler has miraculously survived after being left alone for almost a week without food or water.

Brier Rose Ineichen, aged just 15-months-old, was found dehydrated in her cot after her grandmother died while caring for her.

The child's mother, Tracy Ineichen, is serving time in prison and became concerned after not hearing from her mother for a few days.

Tracy called her boyfriend, Anthony Waldo, asking him to go check on the house, in concern for the welfare of her child and mother.

When Waldo arrived he found the front door open and through the window he saw the child reaching her arms out and crying.

He then entered the building and discovered the body of the child's grandmother, Annette Ineichen, who had died on her bathroom floor.

Maryville Police Chief Tony Crisp told local news that the grandmother had been dead for several days.

“Based on the condition of the body, we think somewhere between three and five days, but that's just a speculation for now,” Crisp said.

The toddler was rushed to hospital where she was treated for severe dehydration and lack of food.
