‘The Voice’ has officially found a new home on ITV, it has been confirmed.

The TV singing contest, which will begin its fifth and final series on the BBC next year, will run for at least three series on ITV, alongside a children’s version of the show, ‘The Voice Kids’.
For the past few weeks, it has been heavily speculated that ‘The Voice’ could be moving to ITV from 2017, with reports suggesting this could spell the end from ‘The X Factor’, which has suffered falling ratings and scathing reviews for its most recent series.

However, a statement from ITV’s Director of Television, Peter Fincham, has implied that ‘X Factor’ won’t be going anywhere either, claiming ‘The Voice’ will sit “alongside” ‘X Factor’ and the channel’s other flagship shows.
He said: “ITV is the natural home of big entertainment so we are thrilled that ‘The Voice’ and ‘The Voice Kids’ are both joining our family alongside brilliant shows like ‘The X Factor’, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ and ‘I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here’.”
John de Mol, who created ‘The Voice’, added: “With the addition of ‘The Voice Kids’ we are excited about working with ITV in 2017 to develop and expand ‘The Voice’ experience for the UK audience after completing what we think will be a fantastic upcoming season on the BBC, who have been a great partner.”
‘The Voice’ will kick off its fifth series over on the BBC next year, and it’s already off to a controversial start.
Sir Tom Jones has been far from silent about getting the axe from the panel, in favour of new recruit Boy George, who is joining Paloma Faith, Ricky Wilson and will.i.am as one of this year’s coaches.
