‘Strictly Come Dancing': Jamelia Claims Dance Show Is Fixed After Losing Out To Peter Andre In The Dance-Off

Axed 'Strictly' Star Jamelia Claims Show Is 'Fixed'

Jamelia has made some bold claims about ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ potentially being fixed, after she lost out to Peter Andre in last week’s dance-off, and was sent home.

The ‘Loose Women’ panelist found herself in the bottom two with the ‘Mysterious Girl’ singer, but three of the judges decided to save Peter, despite Jamelia getting a higher score.

She also called out producers on the show for re-recording the audience’s reaction to Peter’s dance.

During an interview on the ‘Strictly’ spin-off show ‘It Takes Two, she said: "I think we did a great last dance.

"But it wasn't until they re-recorded Pete's standing ovation, I'd say that was the moment we knew we were going home."

It’s not the first time that ‘Strictly’ bosses have been accused of favouring Peter Andre, who was seen as this series' star signing.

Former ‘Strictly’ pro dancer James Jordan also hit out, claiming Peter was given prominent slots on the show.

“I love Peter but I wonder if he will open or close every show? Fairness,” he said.

During Sunday night's show Craig Revel-Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli all opted to save Peter and dance partner Janette.

But head judge Len Goodman revealed that he would have saved Jamelia, saying: “Funnily enough no I didn’t, I thought Jamelia and Tristan did a very, very fine Quickstep and I would have brought you back.”

"These extra opportunities to capture audience reaction are standard practice in recording TV shows of this nature."
