Ever wondered what would happen if you put twelve children in a room together and asked them to create an artistic masterpiece? That's exactly what took place when TOMY toys teamed up with HuffPost parents for a fun day out in south London last week.

TOMY Aquadoodle has been inspiring kids to get colourful and creative for over ten years with its brilliant range of mess-free play mats, and now they've upped the fun factor with their brightest mat yet.

The new Super Colour Deluxe allows budding little artists to express their creativity with an exciting new colour palette of super vibrant neon colours they’ll love. To celebrate, TOMY invited some Huff Post parents to draw, create and play with their little ones, for a fun filled day of immersive art and learning.

Our parents and their little ones spent the day in Barnes, where the children began to create their own water based masterpieces using the new and improved Aquadoodle stylus tools. With seven different accessories to choose from, the pens and paintbrushes have had a shape makeover, making learning to draw an easy and fun experience. Their chunky size and shape means gripping them with little hands is no problem, allowing drawing and writing skills to develop in a fun and alternative way.

“It’s so much better that it’s a bigger size than a pen that they would normally use”, said one of our mums, “it’ll help them to learn their letters and numbers.”

The bunch of budding artists were challenged to draw a garden scene, with an array of flowers, bumblebees and even gnomes taking shape on the water based drawing boards. Parents and children played and drew together, working in family teams to create mini masterpieces. For any mistakes made, they simply let the water dry and started over again, meaning the process was completely mess free.

“That’s the nicest thing about it, that there’s no mess”, explained mum Phillipa Taylor, “once it’s dry, you can put it away, and out it comes the next day, which is lovely.”

Once complete, the individual works of art were pulled together, creating a beautiful garden scene.

Parents and their children left the day with a goodie bag, new friends, and some mess-free drawing skills.

TOMY Aquadoodle Super Colour Deluxe is suitable for ages 18 months+. RRP £24.99.
