These Guys Thought It'd Be A Great Idea To Pretend To Surf On A Manchester Street

It's raining, it's miserable, it's dark and it's Manchester. So the last thing you'd want to do is strip off to your swimming trunks and balance on a surfboard to get soaked by passing cars, right?

Well, most people would agree with you - but not Christian Berger and Sean Caio, who thought it'd be a great idea to do exactly that.

The University of Manchester students don't get many opportunities to surf in the city, so decided to take to the streets of Rusholme on a particularly wet and rainy day.

Caio told the Manchester Evening News: "It was just a bit of fun, there was no real planning put into it at all.

"We can’t really surf much here and we thought we would make our own waves."

The 19-year-old added: "I was really surprised by the reaction we got, people passing by were loving it. Someone said we made their day and everyone was taking pictures and filming us. It was great.

"It was quite cold though, the worst thing was having to walk back to Chris’s in our bare feet and wet trunks."
