Adele To Perform At Brit Awards 2016, Following Success Of Album '25'

Adele Is Set To Recreate This Iconic Brits Moment

Adele has been confirmed as the first act to be performing at next year’s Brit Awards.

The singer will be among the stars taking to the stage on the UK’s biggest night in music next February.

Speaking about the announcement, Brits Chairman Max Lousada said: “You couldn’t get a bigger name in music right now. Adele is having an exceptional moment and The Brits are delighted to be a part of her history, her present and future."

Adele previously performed at the Brits in 2012

Adele will be hoping to add to her collection of Brits, after smashing records across the globe with her latest album ‘25’, following its release last month.

In the UK, ‘25’ broke the week-one album sales record and is officially the fastest-selling album - as well as the most downloaded number-one album - of all time.

Adele was first awarded the Critics’ Choice Award in 2008, and went on to win a further three awards.

In 2012, she was awarded Best Female Solo Artist and Best British Album for ‘21’, when she famously flipped the bird after her acceptance speech was cut short, and in 2013 she was awarded Best British Single for ‘Skyfall’.

In 2011, she earned a place in Brits history after she gave an incredible performance of 'Someone Like You'.

The Brits Awards 2016 will take place on Wednesday 24 February 2016 at London’s O2 Arena and will be broadcast live on ITV, with Ant & Dec returning as hosts.
