'First Dates: The Proposal': Channel 4 Series Sees Its First Ever Wedding Proposal, And It's Adorable (VIDEO)

The 'First Dates' Proposal Was All Kinds Of Adorable

Thursday night marked a landmark episode for ‘First Dates’, with a couple actually getting engaged on the show.

Scott White actually got down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend, Victoria Wills, who he met on the show, in the bar where they first met during the summer.

To make the proposal even more unique, he presented her with a Haribo ring from a packet of jellies, in an attempt to *ahem* sweeten the deal.

Offering her the jelly ring, he joked: “No expense spared, will you marry me?”

After she accepted the proposal, he told viewers: “I hadn’t had a chance to get a proper ring but I really wanted to do it in the place we met.

"Hopefully in years to come we’ll have our first date to watch but we’ll also have the proposal and we can show it to our kids in the future."

As you can predict, there was a flurry of excitement from viewers on Twitter, who were quick to congratulate the ‘First Dates’ couple…

During 2015, ‘First Dates’ has gone from strength to strength, becoming a hit with viewers, and even spawning its own celebrity special, which saw Alexandra Burke, Jorgie Porter and Anthea Turner all looking for love, with a bit of help from maître d', Fred Sirieix

It’s also made cult heroes of its stars, including Louisa - who returned during Thursday night’s episode - and self-confessed “hopeless romantic”, Louis Gill, whose shy nature won over a lot of ‘First Dates’ fans when he appeared on the show.
