Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has shared the first photo of his newborn daughter with a heartfelt message on Instagram.
Johnson's long-term girlfriend Lauren Hashian gave birth on 16 December but the couple waited a few days before revealing any details about their first child together.
The Fast And Furious actor, who is also dad to 14-year-old Simone with his ex-partner Dany Garcia, shared his first daddy-daughter photo on Sunday 20 December and revealed his daughter was named Jasmine.
"Christmas came early," he wrote. "Within minutes of being born she was laying on daddy's chest and now being a grateful man takes on a whole new meaning."
Johnson continued: "Kinda crazy but in this cool and powerful skin-to-skin bonding moment with my newborn baby Jasmine, I had just one wish I asked the universe...
"Give me the strength to be a better man today than I was yesterday. If I can accomplish that, then I'd have a good shot at being a great father.
"To all you young men out there who will be fathers one day, the goal of 'being better' will never steer you wrong."
The dad-of-two also gave details about Hashian's labour.
He explained: "I was right there, helping her breathe, every highly intense contraction, every second of pain, right there watching the actual birth, cutting the cord and wiping the tears. Incredible.
"As men, it's a miracle we should witness because it'll give you a whole new respect for the strength and beauty of a woman.
"Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your families from ours."
There were rumous Hashian was pregnant earlier in 2015, but Johnson only confirmed the news in November 2015.
"I was raised by and live with amazing and strong women, so the universe felt we needed one more... IT'S A BABY GIRL," he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him cradling Hashian's baby bump.
Hashian, 31, a singer/songwriter who has been with Johnson for the past nine years, took to Instagram on 12 December to gush over how excited she was to become a mum.
Uploading the same photo Johnson used in the pregnancy announcement, she wrote: "To experience creating a little life is just incredible.
"This beautiful cycle of life and womanhood beginning again. Couldn't be prouder of all the kickass women she's going to have around her! And men of course."
