The news that ‘Robot Wars’ is set to return to BBC2 brought us plenty of joy on Wednesday morning, but it also gave us one huge question - will Craig Charles be returning to present?
Now, the former ‘Coronation Street’ has taken to Twitter, and we reckon fans will be pleased with his response…

He wrote: “Okay guys. I've heard the news but as yet have had no contact with anyone involved in the new production of robot wars. #lovetodoit.”

Our next query is which of the house robots will be coming back, but it looks like we’ll have to wait and see for the answer to that one.
The Beeb have commissioned six new episodes of the hit show, and have stated that the structure will be slightly different, featuring more robots and more battles.
The shows will be recorded in Glasgow, and if you think you’ve got what it takes (AKA enough scrap metal to last a lifetime) then you can apply to take part by emailing robotwars@mentorn.tv.
