Islamic State Media Confirms Death Of 'Jihadi John' Militant Mohammed Emwazi In Dabiq Magazine

'Jihadi John' Is Definitely Dead... Islamic State Media Says So

Islamic State media confirmed on Tuesday the death of British extremist Mohammed Emwazi, better known as “jihadi John.”

The terror group published a note on the militant in Dabiq magazine, saying he was killed on 12 November in Raqqa.

Officials in Washington said they were "99 percent sure" Emwazi was killed in a US drone strike on the Islamic State capital in Syria last year.

The extremist, who had lived in West London and attended Westminster University, was filmed in a series of execution videos, including the beheading of American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, and British aid workers David Haines and Alan Henning.

Last year David Cameron hailed Emwazi's likely death, the British PM claiming the killing was "an act of self defence" and "the right thing to do".
