Zayn Malik’s solo career has only just begun, but he’s already outdone One Direction in one respect, by topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the States.

The news means he’s managed to one up 1D, whose highest Billboard 100 position was number two, following the release of their 2013 single ‘Best Song Ever’.
The star is currently gearing up for the release of his solo album ‘Mind Of Mine’, which is due to drop on 25 March - which is exactly a year to the day since he announced his One Direction departure.
While Zayn has kept a number of details about the record under wraps, he has revealed a snippet of the track ‘Late Nights’ on Twitter.
‘Mind Of Mine’ will consist of 18 tracks, and the star has revealed that some of them will address his break-up from Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards.
