Kanye West Made Tidal The No.1 App On iTunes After Declaring He'll Never Release Album

Sorry Folks, Kanye West Will Never Release His Album Outside Of TIDAL

Want to listen to Kanye West's New Album 'The Life of Pablo'? Well we've got some bad news, West announced via his Twitter account that his album will never be for sale, instead making it exclusively available to stream via the high-definition music service TIDAL.

One thing which was abundantly clear, West is not a fan of Apple Music. In the tweet he specifically calls out Apple Music saying that his new album would never be available on Apple's streaming service.

This does however leave open the possibility of Spotify fans eventually getting their hands on it at a later date.

This follows on from a series of mixed messages last week when the artist confirmed the album's general release following short exclusive period on TIDAL.

TIDAL, while impressive as a service, is still not as popular as its rivals Spotify or Apple Music, prompting many of his fans to tweet their displeasure at the decision.

Impressively though, Kanye's seemingly exclusive partnership has been enough to give the app a huge boost, pushing it up to the No.1 spot on the App Store in the US and No.12 in the UK.

Whether or not this means people have then joined the service remains to be seen - TIDAL is currently offering a free 30-day trial at present.

In what is now becoming a commonplace occurrence for the musician West launched into a long and somewhat disjointed Twitter rant last night during which he spoke about his money problems and the album itself.
