Alien hunters are questioning a recording released by UFO fans, who claim the message was captured by NASA.
The Sheivae Project published a video on YouTube containing audio that used quite a few Hollywood-esque phrases, which the publishers claimed are from real aliens.
The message, posted by the Project, states: "I come from a world far away from yours, you are not alone.
It adds: "I hope you receive mine. I hope you understand my message. I try to learn your language (???) yours.

"Me I lost (???) I lost my planet. Now I am explorer, voyager, creator. You are my first contact. I would (??? _) like to meet you.
"I am not your enemy. I come in peace."
Despite its attempt to appear real, the video was ridiculed quite heavily after it was posted on ufosightingsdaily.com.
Editor, Scott C. Waring, invited readers to debate the validity of the recording by writing: "It's odd, for sure, no doubt about that, but NASA doesn't like to tell the public about what they find.
"We always have to find out through the grape vine of old records, photos, eyewitnesses. So....I leave this up to the readers here. What do you think about this alien message?"
The response was swift:
Another commenter, X-15, wrote: "I can highly believe the hoovering prob revelation, but this comm msg attempt, well to me that portion of this presentation seems a bit comical imo."
Others also pointed out: "There is no way to verify this is a genuine message. I'm a believer but this message, to me, is a little over the top."
