Dronehenge: Drone Flies Over Stonehenge At Dawn

Twitter users appear to have had a wonderful start to their day thanks to a drone that flew over Stonehenge at the break of dawn.

Television presenter and historian, Dan Snow, arrived at the prehistoric monument in Wiltshire one hour before sunrise to begin broadcasting the event on Periscope.

As the light began to spill over the stones, Snow was joined by archaeologist, Sue Greaney, who gave viewers a whistle stop tour of the site.

"The large stones," she said were put up in "about 2500 BC."

The pair were joined by viewers from all around the world, including the North Pole and Shrewsbury, England.

Finally, Snow called for the drone to be launched, which made for some spectacular shots.
