James Corden Poses For Harry Styles-Inspired Tattooed Fashion Shoot (PICS)

James Corden Sports An... Erm... *Interesting* New Look

During his tenure hosting his US talk show, we’ve seen James Corden channelling Cookie Lyons from ‘Empire’, a theatrical magician and… erm… a giant strawberry, and he’s now re-invented himself once again for a new photoshoot.

James is the - arguably unlikely - cover star for WSJ. magazine’s men’s style issue, posing shirtless with tattoos covering his torso and arms. But don't panic just yet everyone, as they're definitely fake. Phew.

Nice ink...

In the pictures, shot by Inez & Vinoodh, James gives his best brooding looks to the camera, and in one slightly less serious shot, he’s seen with his jacket pulled over his head (which we can only presume is all in the name of fashion).

So fashion

Joking about the shoot on Twitter, James admitted that One Direction singer Harry Styles was his “inspiration” for the look:

In the accompanying interview, which comes almost a year after he made his debut presenting ‘The Late, Late Show’, he discusses taking the job overseas from his home in the UK, admitting: “I was Skyping my son on his birthday, and my wife was pregnant at the time. And I was like, this is only going to get harder.

“Here’s someone offering me a job – all I really want is to feel creative every day. And I realised it doesn’t come around again. CBS doesn’t go, ‘Let’s go back to the guy who passed.’”

James Corden, auditioning to join One Direction

Since taking the job, James has been particularly praised for his ‘Carpool Karaoke’ sketches, where some of the biggest names in music join him for a ride around the block and a sing-song, including Adele, Elton John and three separate appearances from little-known indie singer, Justin Bieber.

Read the full interview in WSJ. magazine, which hits newsstands on Saturday 5 March.
