Stop everything, someone has created a Trump Twitterbot that may have trumped Donald Trump at terrible things to say.
The bot, named @DeepDrumpf, is able to tweet "remarkably Trump-like statements" based on an algorithm that was trained on the politician's victory speeches and debate performances.
According to the bot's creator Bradley Hayes, from MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab, if the tweet begins with the letter M, the algorithm will follow up with A, K, E until it spells out “Make America Great Again.”
[Waterboarding] I get rid of the people, our country will be back the game. We have to repeal Syria? What do we do, when we left Iraq...— DeepDrumpf (@DeepDrumpf) March 4, 2016
Once it reaches the 140-character limit, the process stops but the hilarity continues.
“Trump’s language tends to be more simplistic, so I figured that, as a modeling problem, he would be the most manageable candidate to study,” Hays said in a statement.
“The algorithm essentially learns an underlying structure from all the data it gets, and then comes up with different combinations of the data that reflect the structure that it was taught."
These are the results:
