Georgia May Foote has opened up about her relationship with new beau, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional Giovanni Pernice.
The two got together after being partnered together during last year’s ‘Strictly’, and their romance has since gathered pace, with Georgia now gushing about Giovanni in a new interview.
Opening up to The Mirror, she admitted: “Gio is my best friend and he helped me through a lot.
During her time on the show, Georgia had been dating her former ‘Coronation Street’ co-star Sean Ward, but they split after the show finished.
Reports have since suggested that their relationship came to an end with a blazing row, over his jealousy of her closeness to Giovanni, though Georgia has insisted they didn’t get together until ‘Strictly’ was over.
She continued: “It’s something that just happened, I didn’t get a chance to look at him that way while I was on the show. It was a friendship that blossomed.”
Since coming off the show, Georgia and Giovanni have revealed their intentions to move in together, and even sparked rumours they could be tying the knot, after she was seen sporting a ring on her engagement finger.
However she has insisted she won’t be walking down the aisle, telling The Mirror: “It’s just a present.”
