Bruce Springsteen managed to excuse a young fan from being late for school the day after his concert with a cheeky note.
The 66-year-old spotted nine-year-old Xabi Glovsky rocking out at his concert in Los Angeles with a sign that read: "Bruce, I will be late to school tomorrow. Please sign my note."
After the show finished at 11.40pm, Springsteen pulled Xabi out from the crowd and agreed to his request.
Xabi's dad Scott Glovsky uploaded a photo to Twitter on Wednesday 16 March showing his son and Springsteen holding the note.
"Dear Ms. Jackson," the note read. "Xabi has been out very late rocking and rolling. Please excuse him if he is tardy."
The dad tweeted: "Bruce Springsteen signed Xabi's note for school tomorrow.
"He is as genuine and gracious as you think he is."
Mr Glovsky said Springsteen sat his son down on a sofa after the show and asked him about his teacher and how to spell his name.
"Bruce thoughtfully and artistically created this beautiful note," he told Backstreets.
"It was very interesting to watch the artist at work. They talked for a few minutes, and Bruce was incredibly nice, caring and gracious."
This isn't the first time a young Springsteen fan has needed a late note for school after one of his concerts.
In February 2016, a dad decided to be completely honest when his daughter arrived late to school after attending a concert.
"Please excuse Isabelle's tardiness to school today," the dad from New York began the note.
"In the interest of honesty, I feel it my obligation to be straight with all of you as to the reason.
"Last night Isabelle was lucky enough to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Albany, and darned if he didn't play for three and a half hours.
"This may not seem like a good excuse, but have you ever wondered how many kids would be late - or miss school outright - if God were to suddenly appear?
"It's something like that."
