Janice Dickinson Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis, But Insists: 'You Ain't Getting Rid Of Me Yet'

Janice Dickinson has revealed that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The star, who famously calls herself the 'world's first supermodel', has told of how a lump in her breast was found during a routine examination earlier this month, with a mammogram and biopsy later confirming it to be cancer.

Janice has since been informed she has early stage ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), which is a common form of breast cancer that starts in the milk ducts.

However, the star - best known to UK fans for her stints on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' in 2007 and 'Celebrity Big Brother' in 2015 - has refused to take the diagnosis lying down, and has insisted she will fight it.

Speaking to MailOnline, she said: "Just two weeks ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, it's hard for me to say this, but I have been diagnosed with breast cancer.

"It's still quite shocking. Today I got very scared... I just get very scared and it hit me. But I am not gonna let that define me, the fear. I'm going to get through this, I'll be just fine kiddo.

"Don't feel sorry for me, this is not a pity party, I'm Janice Dickinson and I'm gonna stick around for a long, long time, you ain't getting rid of me yet."

Recalling the moment she was diagnosed, the former 'America's Top Model' judge went on: "I'm always optimistic, initially when the doctor found the lump it hurt, it became quite painful when you touch it, that's the point when I knew this is serious, when the doctor touched this little lump in my right breast, about the size of a pea, and I went, 'Bingo, I have cancer.'"

Janice, who is mum to two grown-up children, also revealed that she will share her battle with the disease on US TV show 'The Doctors', which will follow her as she undergoes treatment.
