Ronnie Corbett Dead: We Remember 'Fork Handles' And Other Funniest Clips

In a career lasting half a century, Ronnie Corbett proved the biggest small man in comedy.

With the very sad news of Ronnie Corbett's death today, we've been remembering one of the country's most beloved comedians, and quoting again some of his most enduringly laugh-out-loud moments.

There were many, many examples in his glorious career, which lasted more than half a century, much of that time alongside his great friend and collaborator, Ronnie Barker.

Of course, we have to start with... you guessed it... 'fork handles'.

Then there were those moments when he took a pause from his routines with the other Ronnie, to sit back in his chair, often in a golfing jumper, and reflect on conversations with his "produuucer". Here's the one about a parrot:

Back at the beginning of his career, Ronnie Corbett broke through in this then very satirical 'Class Sketch' on 'The Frost Report' in 1966:

Much later in his career, he proved his enduring willingness to make himself the foil of a joke, here with Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant in 'Extras':

And, let's not forget that masterly 'Mastermind' sketch when he proved a whizz in the big black chair... apart from the fact his answers were all one behind the question. Poetry!
