A real-life hamburglar broke into a Five Guys restaurant in the US and made himself a cheeseburger.

The unidentified man, broke into a restaurant in Washington DC early Friday, but unlike most break-ins, the thief wasn't interested in money.

According to ABC News the burglar followed a delivery man into the restaurant and waited until he left before going inside.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, once inside the man treated himself to a fountain beverage before cooking what appeared to be a cheeseburger.

The man was also said to have stolen a bottle of water before leaving.
