Gordon Ramsay Responds To Letter From Eight-Year-Old With Gastrointestinal Condition Asking For A Meal

'When I grow up I want to be a chef just like you.'

Gordon Ramsay might be known for his foul-mouthed language in the kitchen, but his latest tweet proves he's a big softy.

The celebrity chef responded to a child who suffers from a gastrointestinal (GI) condition after she wrote him a letter asking him to cook for her.

Abigail Carper, eight, spends a lot of time in hospital and has to eat through a feeding tube.

Calling herself Ramsay's "biggest fan", she hand wrote him a letter saying she knew he would make her something "really good".

"When I grow up I want to be a chef just like you," Abigail wrote.

"Do you think you could cook some food or make new recipes on MasterChef Jr for me using only ingredients I can eat?

"My mum tries but she’s just an ok cook. I know you could make me something really good."

Abigail's letter was shared on Twitter and a recording of her reading the letter out loud was also posted on YouTube.

Ramsay noticed the tweet and responded directly on Tuesday 19 April, saying: "Hey gorgeous Abigail, thx [sic] for your kind letter.

"Ask mummy to DM please take care Chef Ramsay xxx."

Abigail's mum eagerly replied to the tweet, saying her daughter was "ecstatic".
