‘EastEnders’ Viewers Call For Denise Welch’s Character To Be Made Permanent

Denise Welch impressed ‘EastEnders’ fans when she made her Albert Square debut on Tuesday (3 May) night, with many now calling for her character to be made a permanent fixture.

The former 'Corrie' star made a brief appearance as Kyle’s mum Alison, starring in just two scenes.

However, she still managed to make quite the impact on viewers, who were left heartbroken Alison refused to accept her transgender son for who he is, but impressed by Denise's portrayal of the character.

Ahead of her star turn on the soap, Denise opened up about what it was like filming the soap during an appearance on ‘This Morning’.

While the former ‘Loose Women’ panellist loved her time with the cast, she did reveal one awkward encounter, which took place when she came face to face with none other than June Brown.
